Jeff Finley, Cleveland-based author and designer, celebrates launch of hardcover book, Thread’s Not Dead, at Tremont’s Visible Voice

For thousands of graphic designers and illustrators, apparel design can be a focused career aspiration…or a welcome change of pace from ho-hum commercial work. In such a competitive field, however, expert guidance and ongoing inspiration are the two prerequisites for success.

Thread’s Not Dead, originally published as an eBook in early 2011, offers insider secrets and strategies to help artists break into and “dominate” the t-shirt design business. With 232 pages of content and hundreds of inspirational graphics, it’s a must-have primer for novices and a prolific guide for the pros.

Author Jeff Finley is launching the hardcover book at Visible Voice on October 22nd, where he, along with many of the book’s local contributors, will be on hand to sign copies and discuss the finer points of the pages. The first 25 guests will receive a limited edition, screen-printed canvas Thread’s Not Dead bookmark.

Also in the mix:

  • Local apparel companies selling popular styles
  • Food by Umami Moto
  • Music by Lost Jon and the Ghosts
  • Selections from Visible Voice wine bar (proceeds to benefit a local charity)

This event is free and open to the public.
